Today was very cold in the morning. I could see my breath! Even though we were practically next to the equator it was cold. Me and Daryl had a stick fight. At the equator monument there were two big stone structures that we climbed on. One of them had a sign for the equator on top of it. We took a picture of us on it. I had to help Daryl up.

Later, when we got further down it started to get hot. I shed lots of layers. Further down the road we stopped to take a picture. We could see the whole valley.

When we finally made it to El Quinche we stopped at the first hotel we found. The person there had no idea about the internet it says they have. There’s a good signal but you need a password and she doesn’t know it. The owner is away in Quito so we can’t ask him. Later we went out to eat. We had burgers.
