Ugh. Why does the first day back in the saddle after an extended break have to be so hard? Ugh.
It was a beautiful day – the sun was shining brightly and it didn’t take long before we started shedding layers – we were even down to t-shirts and shorts by midday! What a contrast from the frigid morning.
But the most bizarre part of the day was this lovely hotel in the middle of nowhere. People had told me about a hotel in El Tolar, but El Tolar wasn’t on any map – not on either of mine, not either of Anna and Alister’s, nor on Google maps – and yet there is a very nice hotel. We decided to take advantage of it and call it quits for the day.
It’s great to say we’re traveling again!
