Today we went to a park – in Spanish it is Parque Explora. At the entrance there was a bunch of fun stuff. The best was a marble thing. You would put a marble-type thing at the bottom of a lifting device then it would be lifted to the top. Then it would go through a course. There were dividing type things that would send it a different way each time it went on them. There was one way, the fastest, that was probably the coolest. That one would start out normal then the marble would go down a really steep drop, then go around a bunch of loopdy-doops, then it would jump over to the other rail. Other ways would cause it to go around a coil and be spit out the bottom, and to go down some tracks that would move and release the marble at the other track side. We were allowed into 2 of the 4 rooms with the ticket we bought. We went into the technology and physics. They were fun.
Daryl: That, I think, sounds like what is called a marble roll. They have existed for centuries. There is a great big one at one of the big airports (New York, I think) that uses bowling balls instead of marbles. They are fun to watch.
