In La Prensa of Honduras

La Prensa – the largest newspaper in Honduras – came to our hotel in San Pedro to interview us a few days ago.  For those of you who read Spanish – you can find the article here.

About Nancy Sathre-Vogel

After 21 years as a classroom teacher, Nancy Sathre-Vogel finally woke up and realized that life was too short to spend it all with other people's kids. She and her husband quit their jobs and, together with their twin sons, climbed aboard bicycles to see the world. They enjoyed four years cycling as a family - three of them riding from Alaska to Argentina and one exploring the USA and Mexico. Now they are back in Idaho, putting down roots, enjoying life at home, and living a different type of adventure. It's a fairly sure bet that you'll find her either writing on her computer or creating fantastical pieces with the beads she's collected all over the world.

  1. Hey Guys: Nice article. I don’t speak Spanish fluently but am able to read it maybe on a second grade level. I can always tell when you are doing a photo opportunity – no helmets! Any word on the shift lever? Did John go to Miami? Hope everything works out well. A big hug for all. Thinking of you always.

  2. I’ll be flying out to Miami next Saturday – we wanted to have time to get stuff shipped to Miami before we flew out. It’s kind of crazy to fly all the way to the states to pick up a part, but it looks like it’s the easiest and cheapest way of getting it!

And you’re right- we ALWAYS wear helmets except when we’re riding around a parking lot for a photo shoot!

  3. Hey Rachel – I figured out what happened to your messages! For some reason, my spam filter thought you were spamming in and put them in that folder. I’ve rescued them and we should be good to go now! Anyway, we’ve got everything arranged for Miami – I’ll fly out next Saturday and come back on Tuesday. Crazy, but it’ll work!
