About Nancy Sathre-Vogel

After 21 years as a classroom teacher, Nancy Sathre-Vogel finally woke up and realized that life was too short to spend it all with other people's kids. She and her husband quit their jobs and, together with their twin sons, climbed aboard bicycles to see the world. They enjoyed four years cycling as a family - three of them riding from Alaska to Argentina and one exploring the USA and Mexico. Now they are back in Idaho, putting down roots, enjoying life at home, and living a different type of adventure. It's a fairly sure bet that you'll find her either writing on her computer or creating fantastical pieces with the beads she's collected all over the world.

Just a quick posting before dinner. Glad all are feeling better. What is “cal” you mentioned? I have a feeling it might be lye as that is what is used to make the homeny used in posole and grits . This has been a rough few days for all of you but you will prevail – I know!! Daryl & David: you are real troopers – I don’t think there is anything that will stand in your way to achieving your record goal. Keep on truckin’ – opps bikin’

I’m not sure what cal is – although I suspect lye as well. They all just tell me is very strong and will burn you.

It was funny this morning. The boys were soooo determined to move on so they can meet up with Jessie and Sammy that Davy was going to ride even though he was sick. Then when he decided he was too sick to push on, Daryl VOLUNTEERED to ride the single all day – and if you know how much Daryl hates riding the single, you’ll understand how antsy they are to get to Honduras!
