A Day in the Water (Sabancuy, Campeche, Mexico)

The kids can never get enough. I swear those two are part fish (and the other part monkey!).They rolled out of bed this morning and fell right into the pool at the hotel. A few hours later we jumped in a ¨taxi¨and headed over to the beach, where they spent the whole afternoon in the water. And when we got back to the hotel, guess where they headed?

The bad news is that I must not have put enough sunscreen on them and they got a bit burnt. Hopefully it won’t be too painful tomorrow!

The boys enjoyed jumping off the swing into the pool.

About Nancy Sathre-Vogel

After 21 years as a classroom teacher, Nancy Sathre-Vogel finally woke up and realized that life was too short to spend it all with other people's kids. She and her husband quit their jobs and, together with their twin sons, climbed aboard bicycles to see the world. They enjoyed four years cycling as a family - three of them riding from Alaska to Argentina and one exploring the USA and Mexico. Now they are back in Idaho, putting down roots, enjoying life at home, and living a different type of adventure. It's a fairly sure bet that you'll find her either writing on her computer or creating fantastical pieces with the beads she's collected all over the world.

To be a kid again….all that energy and zeal would be fun to have back!! Reminds me of myself when I was younger. We lived in Miami for a year and my mom took us to the beach almost everyday…none of us could get enough of it. I had ear infections the whole year we lived there from swimmer’s ear. In fact, I even got a perforated ear drum the first two weeks were there from all the water stopped up in my ear. Not a fun experience!! Anyway, glad to see the boys are having fun still!
